Overview

Export task breakdowns from Projan plans to Google Tasks for tracking alongside Google Calendar. Tasks appear in your chosen task list and can be managed from any Google app.

Prerequisites

• Google account
• Projan team admin or individual account

Setup Steps

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Tasks
2. Click “Sign in with Google”
3. Grant task read/write permissions
4. Select a task list (or create a new one)

What Data is Accessed

• Task list names and IDs

Data Storage

• Encrypted access and refresh tokens
• User email

Disconnecting

Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Tasks > Disconnect.

Token is purged immediately.

Troubleshooting

Tasks not syncing

• Google Tasks has eventual consistency - tasks may take a few seconds to appear
• Pull-to-refresh in Google Tasks or Calendar

Notes truncated

• Google Tasks limits notes to 8,192 characters
• Longer descriptions are truncated with a link back to Projan

Formatting limitations

• Plain text only (no markdown rendering)
• Binary status only: needsAction or completed
• Single-level subtasks only
• No priority field (priority is encoded in the task title)
• Categories become title prefixes (e.g. “[Epic] Task name”)
