Overview

Export PRDs, technical designs, business plans, and other generated documents to Google Docs with formatting preserved. Documents are created in your Google Drive with proper headings, lists, and tables.

Prerequisites

• Google account
• Google Docs access
• Projan team admin or individual account

Setup Steps

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Docs
2. Click “Sign in with Google”
3. Grant document creation permissions
4. Select a default folder (optional)

What Data is Accessed

Nothing is read from existing documents. Projan only creates new documents in your Drive.

Data Storage

• Encrypted access and refresh tokens
• User email (for Drive identification, optional)

Disconnecting

Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Docs > Disconnect.

Token is purged immediately. Also revoke from Google: Security > Third-party access > Projan.

Troubleshooting

“Permission denied”

• Re-authorize the integration to ensure correct scopes are granted
• Check that your Google account has Google Docs enabled

Formatting issues

• Complex tables may be simplified during export
• Nested lists are supported up to 3 levels deep
• Code blocks are rendered as monospace text

Document size limit

• Maximum 500,000 characters per document
• Split large documents across multiple exports if needed

“Token expired”

• Tokens should auto-refresh. If issues persist, disconnect and reconnect
