Overview
Export generated documents from Projan to Dropbox Paper, where your team can continue editing collaboratively.
Prerequisites
- Dropbox account (Paper enabled)
- Projan team admin or individual account
Setup Steps
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Dropbox Paper
- Click “Connect Dropbox”
- Authorize the connection on Dropbox’s consent screen
Permissions Requested
| Scope | Purpose | Access Level |
|---|---|---|
files.content.write | Create Paper documents | Write |
files.content.read | List folders and verify exports | Read |
What Data is Accessed
- Folder names (for export destination selection)
- File metadata of exported documents
Data Storage
- Encrypted access and refresh tokens
Tokens auto-refresh - no re-authentication needed unless you revoke access from Dropbox.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings > Integrations > Dropbox Paper > Disconnect.
Tokens are purged immediately. Previously exported documents remain in Dropbox unaffected. You can also revoke access from Dropbox > Settings > Connected apps.
Troubleshooting
“Export failed”
- Verify your Dropbox account has Paper enabled (some legacy accounts require opting in)
Formatting differences
- Paper’s import format does not support every markdown construct; complex tables may be simplified
