Overview

Export task breakdowns from Projan plans to Asana as tasks within a project, and import existing Asana tasks as conversation context for AI grounding.

Prerequisites

• Asana account with access to the target project
• Projan team admin or individual account

Setup Steps

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Asana
2. Click “Connect Asana”
3. Authorize the connection on Asana’s consent screen
4. Select a target project during export

What Data is Accessed

• Workspace and project names
• Existing tasks (for context import)

Data Storage

• Encrypted access and refresh tokens

Tokens auto-refresh - no re-authentication needed unless you revoke access from Asana.

Disconnecting

Go to Settings > Integrations > Asana > Disconnect.

Tokens are purged immediately. Previously exported tasks remain in Asana unaffected. You can also revoke access from Asana > Settings > Apps.

Troubleshooting

“No projects found”

• Check that the connected account is a member of at least one project

Hierarchy mapping

• Epics are exported as sections or parent tasks; subtasks use Asana’s native subtask support
